tells stories through picture books, children’s novels, and journalistic pieces. When not writing, Ann is likely dancing, listening to podcasts, advocating for adoption, or sampling the next perfect dessert. A graduate of UCLA (BA) and Boston University (MS), she’s an active member of SCBWI, and lives in Southern California with her supportive husband, two energetic sons, and canine bestie.

working on: a middle grade novel (genre: contemporary, magical realism,) and picture books all the time!

fun stuff:

  • enjoys: tea, doughnuts, roller skating, dancing, singing, photography, picture books, middle grade and young adult tales
  • dislikes: walking into spider webs and TP rolling off the wrong way (up and over is correct!)
  • activist for: foster teens and adoption (children and pets)
  • loves: family, friends (especially those who really know me and still stick around,) and God (who does the same, only more profoundly)

    I grumbled about being asked to greet at Gateway on Christmas Eve, but little did I know it would allow me to reconnect with you, making it all worth while and truly a blessing! I know it was in God’s plan & once again remind myself that He works in mysterious ways and with purpose for His good & mine!
