Happy 2023! A new year is a full of new tomorrows… to mess up or to keep choosing a better path, even when we fail. So when I make and break resolutions, I don’t give up, at least in the long game.
If you’re a writer or a dreamer of whatever you’re called to do, we don’t wish in days of the year, but in years of our lives. It’s about the big picture. And if your dream gives you life, you do it whether the world sees it as a “success” or not.
With that said, for me, 2023 is new and hopeful in that I will be preparing to launch (birth) my debut picture book in 2024. It’s exciting, scary and unknown territory. And sigh… I have to really embrace social media (not a personal strength) or at least try.
So if you’re reading this, you’ve joined me… THANK YOU!! I see you. And I appreciate every single subscription, comment and like! You inspire me and help me in this territory I struggle in (putting myself “out there.”) Ideally, I’d send out my words in the form of books and then retreat back into my home. But if I believe in the power of my words and the God who gave them, I have to believe in the effort to get them out there. So truly, humbly, THANK YOU for being a part of my journey and celebrating the transforming work of stories.
Note: I’ll be asking questions in posts because I really do want to get to know you, too! So… what are you hopeful for in 2023?
I think you are brave and I love to see your updates through social media. I may not always comment but I am following your journey. This year I want to come out of my shell and be selfless with my time and talents.
